Signing Santa
This Christmas season, Positive Signs Community is thrilled to present five enchanting "Signing Santa" events, crafted especially for Deaf and hard-of-hearing children across the UK. These gatherings offer a unique opportunity for children to engage with Santa Claus through British Sign Language (BSL), ensuring that the festive magic is accessible to all.
Event Highlights:
Meet and Greet with Signing Santa: Children can share their Christmas wishes directly with Santa in BSL, fostering a personal and inclusive experience.
Festive Activities: Engage in holiday-themed crafts and games, all designed to be Deaf-friendly and enjoyable for every child.
Seasonal Treats: Delight in a selection of festive snacks and refreshments in a warm, welcoming environment.
Event Details:
Dates: Five sessions throughout December; specific dates to be announced.
Locations: Various venues across London and Essex to accommodate families.
Booking Information: Advance registration will be required to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees. Details on how to book will be provided soon.
Why Attend?
Traditional Santa experiences often present communication barriers for Deaf children, which can diminish the joy of the occasion. Our "Signing Santa" events are designed to bridge this gap, allowing children to interact with Santa in their preferred language. This initiative not only brings festive cheer but also promotes inclusivity and recognition of BSL within the broader community.
Get Involved:
We invite families, friends, and supporters of the Deaf community to join us in celebrating this festive season. Whether you're attending with a child or volunteering your time, your participation helps make these events memorable and impactful.
Stay tuned for further updates, including specific dates, locations, and booking instructions. Together, let's make this Christmas a magical and inclusive experience for all.
